World Wellness Weekend returns for its 8th edition on September 20-22, 2024, bringing together over 8,000 venues across 150+ countries. As the World Health Organization raises alarms on rising inactivity, obesity, insomnia, loneliness, and depression, this event mobilizes communities globally to counter these trends.
Founded in 2017, World Wellness Weekend is dedicated to supporting the United Nations’ objective of “Good Health and Wellbeing for All.” The event is built around five pillars of wellness: sleep and creativity, nutrition and immunity, movement and vitality, mindfulness and serenity, and purpose and solidarity. This initiative aims to embed these principles into daily life, promoting a holistic approach to health that extends beyond the weekend itself.
Events will begin with a sunrise celebration by Pure Fiji cosmetics on September 20. As dawn breaks over the Pacific, this event kicks off the global wellness initiative.
On September 20, health and wellbeing music app Myndstream will release a playlist of wellness tunes accessible globally on major streaming platforms. On the same day, Peter Kater will debut his new breathwork series in association with World Wellness Weekend and World Cleanup Day, designed to energize and connect participants as they clean up parks, beaches, and riverbanks.
Known for its soundtracks in popular shows like “Stranger Things” and “Bridgerton,” Myndstream is World Wellness Weekend’s first official audio partner.
