Vivienne Tang, Founder & CEO – Raja Ampat, Indonesia

Raja Ampat is a true sanctuary, with fishing restrictions that allow its incredible marine life to thrive. Home to blackfin sharks and a mesmerizing variety of macro marine creatures, it’s one of the most biodiverse places on the planet. The tranquility and raw beauty of its emerald islands and azure waters are simply unmatched.
Travel Tips:
- Stay on a luxury liveaboard phinisi like Sequoia, Alila Purnama, or Silolona to access hidden dive spots and secret lagoons.
- Don’t miss snorkeling, diving, and hiking to panoramic viewpoints for breathtaking rewards.
- Bring a good underwater camera to capture the vibrant marine life.

Cristina Dörig, Retreats & Business Development Manager – Sardinia, Italy

Sardinia holds a piece of my heart, tied to my fondest childhood summer memories. With its crystal-clear waters, sparkling turquoise bays, and lush Mediterranean oleander and vivid bougainvillea in bloom, Sardinia’s coastline is simply breathtaking. The island’s beauty extends inland too, where windswept stone formations, mystical landscapes, and ancient olive trees whisper tales of centuries past.
Travel Tips:
- Explore Costa Smeralda and Cala Gonone for dazzling beaches and rugged cliffs.
- Take boat trips to hidden caves and secluded bays with pristine waters.
- Venture inland to discover Nuragic ruins and hilltop villages, and enjoy local delicacies at weekly markets.
Heena Paryani, Editorial Manager – Da Nang, Vietnam

Da Nang holds a special place in my heart as the city where I got married in 2024. It’s a destination that seamlessly blends stunning beaches with vibrant city vibes. The pristine coastline, including My Khe and Non Nuoc beaches, is perfect for relaxation, while the city itself buzzes with life, with a lively urban energy, modern architecture, bustling markets, and vibrant nightlife. Oh, and did I mention the amazing food? From local Vietnamese delicacies to a wide range of international restaurants, the food scene here is incredibly diverse, fresh, and delicious!
Its location is unbeatable—just a short drive to the cultural charm of Hoi An and the serene retreat centers of Hue. Whether you’re seeking relaxation, adventure, or a deep dive into Vietnam’s rich culture, Da Nang is the ultimate one-stop destination that leaves every visitor enchanted.
Silke Teubener, Media & Publishing Partnership Manager – Oman

Living in Dubai allowed me to spend weekends in Oman, particularly in Musandam, known as the “Norway of Arabia” for its fjord-like landscapes. Sleeping on a dhow under the stars, surrounded by serene nature and rich culture, offered a blissful escape. Oman’s authentic Arabian hospitality, diving, canyon hikes, and traditions left a lasting impression. For silver enthusiasts, Muscat’s souks are a treasure trove of handmade jewelry. Even years later, Oman holds some of my fondest memories.
Travel Tips:
- Sleep on a dhow in Musandam, the “Norway of Arabia,” to enjoy its fjord-like beauty and rich underwater life.
- For adventurers, explore Wadi Ghul’s majestic canyon and hike palm-lined trails with hidden waterfalls.
- Shop for handmade silver jewelry in Muscat’s souks for a unique keepsake.
Ting Song, Media & Publishing Partnership Manager (Australia, New Zealand & China) – Byron Bay, Australia

Byron Bay is the perfect blend of natural beauty, wellness vibes, and laid-back charm. It’s my favourite Destination of 2024 because of its stunning beaches, lush hinterland, and vibrant local community. It’s where Hollywood stars, elite athletes, and other high-profile figures escape to luxurious retreats, dolphins dance beside surfers, and migrating whales grace the shores with their presence.
Travel Tips:
- Start your day with a sunrise walk to Cape Byron Lighthouse, Australia’s easternmost point, and follow it with a swim at Wategos Beach.
- Savor farm-to-table dining at The Farm or join a yoga class in town to unwind.
- Don’t miss a whale-watching cruise or a visit to the artisan markets for unique treasures.
- For nature lovers, explore nearby waterfalls and lush forests to immerse yourself in serenity.

Julienne Raboca, Contributing Writer – Cape Town, South Africa

Landing in Cape Town felt like stepping onto the edge of civilisation – the first taste of a wild ride, with ghoema beat as your soundtrack. I skipped the beaches with their resident penguins and drove straight to the wine regions of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek where we picnicked in 17th-century colonial estates. Then we hiked up Lion’s Head and Table Mountain bursting with radiant flora unlike any we’ve ever seen, in full spring bloom… just don’t try to do the latter without a guide, as we foolishly did! The gamebok in Fyn brought tears to my sister’s eyes, as did the Jurassic sunset on the drive back from our half day safari in Aquila. And just when I thought my beach club days were behind me, dancing to Afro house where the genre originated reawakened something in my soul.
Travel Tips:
- Relish affordable fine dining with unique ingredients like ostrich and kudu loin.
- Hike Table Mountain and Lion’s Head (with a guide!) to witness stunning spring blooms.
- Learn about South African history through books or films to deepen your understanding of its culture.
Ing Yeen Oh, Contributing Writer – Seoul, South Korea

Seoul is a vibrant city that blends tradition, modernity, and nature. Be transported in time as you visit the ancient palaces, marvel at futuristic architecture, or embrace nature in the many parks within the urban landscape. I love how convenient it is to get around the city via the subway; there are apps in English with real-time arrival information.
Travel Tips:
- Wear a Hanbok while visiting palaces or Bukchon Hanok Village for an immersive cultural experience.
- Explore Seoul Forest, complete with a deer park, or relax at Yeouido Park.
- Sample local street food at traditional markets and enjoy tea at a Korean tea house in Insadong.
